A home sleep test is a portable device patients wear overnight at home to diagnose sleep apnea. It measures breathing patterns, oxygen levels, and other sleep data without requiring an overnight stay at a sleep lab.

Yes! Dentists can order HST devices through DentuluPro. The test results are then sent to a sleep physician for interpretation and diagnosis. This is often faster than referring patients to a sleep lab.

Modern Type III and Type IV home sleep devices are highly accurate for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea and are validated against in-lab polysomnography. They are recommended by the AASM for patients with a high pretest probability of moderate to severe OSA.

Results are typically available within 24–48 hours after the device is returned and data is uploaded. Results sync automatically to the patient's chart in DentuluPro.
